New MB8210 and MB8220 CBN grades for turning high-hardness steels
New MB8210 and MB8220 CBN grades for turning high-hardness steelsMITSUBISHI MATERIALS CORPORATION, Metalworking Solutions Company (President: Kazuo Ohara, Address: Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) will start to sell the new CBN grades MB8210 and MB8220 for turning high-hardness steels from July 16th, 2024.When turning high-hardness steels, crater wear tends to progress during machining, and chipping and fracturing may occur due to impact. The new CBN grades MB8210 and MB8220 use a heat-resistant binder that improves heat resistance and suppresses the progress of crater wear. The ultrafine-grain binder also suppresses cracking and provides a long tool life with stable machining performance.Main features of the MB8210 and MB8220 CBN grades1.Use of a heat-resistant binder also reduces the progress of crater wear.2.By dispersing an "ultrafine binder" and fine CBN particles in the CBN base material, the development of cracks are suppressed and sudden fracture during cutting is prevented.Product Name : MB8210 and MB8220 CBN grade for turning high-hardness steelsMB8210 43 itemsMB8220 37 items Total 80 itemsRelease Date : July 16th, 2024Standard Price : NP-CCGW03S102FS2 MB8210 4,810 JPY (5,291 JPY including taxes)NP-TPGB110308FS3 MB8210 7,610 JPY (8,371 JPY including taxes)NP-CNGA120408GA2 MB8220 5,310 JPY (5,841 JPY including taxes)NP-TNGA160404GA3 MB8220 6,890 JPY (7,579 JPY including taxes)

BT30 integrated tool holder added to the IMX exchangeable head end mill series
BT30 integrated tool holder added to the IMX exchangeable head end mill seriesMITSUBISHI MATERIALS CORPORATION, Metalworking Solutions Company (President: Kazuo Ohara, Address: Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) has added a BT30 integrated tool holder to the IMX exchangeable head end mill series and will market it on July 16th.The IMX exchangeable head end mill series has a contact face of head and tool holder made of carbide that provides highly rigid combination close to that of a solid tool, enabling a wide variety of head replacements depending on the application. It is highly economical, extremely precise and highly rigid, enabling efficiency machining, and thereby has received acclaim from many customers.A new addition to the range is a BT30 integrated steel tool holder widely used across the metal working industry.Main features of the BT30 integrated tool holder1. The BT30 integrated tool holder enables stable machining with a large-diameter end mill with a small-size spindle because the length of protrusion of the tool can be significantly reduced, realising high-efficiency machining.2. This eliminates the need for a standard milling chuck, thus contributing to lower costs.3. Designed with an undercut beneath the neck, it supports vertical wall machining.Product Name : BT30 Integrated tool holder for the IMX exchangeable head end mill seriesStraight type 6 items, taper type 3 items, total 9 itemsRelease Date : July 16th, 2024Standard Price : IMX16-S16GL38-BT30 89,700 JPY (98,670 JPY including taxes)IMX25-S43GL65-BT30 108,000 JPY (118,800 JPY including taxes)IMX20-A42GL64-BT30 98,000 JPY (107,800 JPY including taxes)
