BT30 integrated tool holder added to the IMX exchangeable head end mill series
MITSUBISHI MATERIALS CORPORATION, Metalworking Solutions Company (President: Kazuo Ohara, Address: Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) has added a BT30 integrated tool holder to the IMX exchangeable head end mill series and will market it on July 16th.
The IMX exchangeable head end mill series has a contact face of head and tool holder made of carbide that provides highly rigid combination close to that of a solid tool, enabling a wide variety of head replacements depending on the application. It is highly economical, extremely precise and highly rigid, enabling efficiency machining, and thereby has received acclaim from many customers.
A new addition to the range is a BT30 integrated steel tool holder widely used across the metal working industry.
Main features of the BT30 integrated tool holder
1. The BT30 integrated tool holder enables stable machining with a large-diameter end mill with a small-size spindle because the length of protrusion of the tool can be significantly reduced, realising high-efficiency machining.
2. This eliminates the need for a standard milling chuck, thus contributing to lower costs.
3. Designed with an undercut beneath the neck, it supports vertical wall machining.
