Motors in various electric devices such as electric vehicles, home appliances, industrial robots, and drones are advancing toward higher speeds and larger diameters with improved performance. However, this evolution increases the centrifugal forces acting on the rotor, heightening the risk of permanent magnet damage or detachment. Our rotor protection cover for SPM motors is designed to enhance motor safety and durability by utilizing a thin-walled, seamless non-magnetic high-strength pipe. Through advanced deep drawing and ironing processes, we achieve both thinness and high strength, optimizing motor performance.

■ Features
- High precision and high strength: Made from thin-walled seamless pipes with a thickness of t0.05mm, achieving tensile strength of 900–1,000 MPa with SUS316L and 1,200–1,500 MPa with β-titanium.
- Improved motor output: The thin-wall design reduces rotor weight and minimizes magnetic loss. By decreasing the air gap, it enhances motor efficiency and output.
- Enhanced productivity and cost reduction: Integrated processing using transfer press machines ensures efficient production and cost reduction. Integration with the base can also be achieved.

■ Specifications
- Processable dimensions: Inner diameter φ3–160mm, thickness t0.05–0.30mm, maximum length L400mm. Achieves surface roughness of Ra ≦ 0.3μm.
- Materials: SUS316L, SUS305, aluminum, and β-titanium (in development). Optimal materials are proposed based on application and environmental conditions.
