Japanese company specializing in hinges, and we also supply
springs, metal stamping, or plastic injection.

We're supplying a variety of high-quality parts for
refrigerators, washing machines, copy machines, automotive
applications, etc.

With our experience and expertise of over 67 years in Japan
and a design team of over 20 members, customers will
experience improved motion for their applications.

We also have branches in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Shanghai,
Shenzhen, and Beijing.

KEM (Thailand) Ltd., incorporated on 12 November 2020,
supports customers in Thailand and Southeast Asia.

Katoh Electrical Machinery Co., Ltd. has grown since it was founded in 1957 by specializing in manufacturing under the motto of “Building strong personal relationships through communication while imparting technology and knowledge”.

We handle all processes internally, including development, manufacturing, quality control, and sales. We take special care in creating original products with added value.

The business environment quickly changes, and we have reached the present by adapting to these changes. In 1989, we announced Reborn Katoh, which marked a shift towards factoryless manufacturing.

In 2022, we announced our new vision, Breakthrough 75 , and we are being reborn again as the new Katoh Electrical Machinery.

As Technical Katoh, we aim to become a brand that continues to innovate technology! All employees are working together to achieve Mission 10. We are being reborn as the new Katoh Electrical Machinery and moving forward as a reliable company.

We will not be complacent as we aim to grow further as a unique company that develops original products with added value that provide greater satisfaction. We firmly believe that we have the power to turn changes into opportunities and expand our strengths.

History

1946 : Katoh Seisakusho was established in Meguro-ku, Tokyo.
1957 : Katoh Electrical Machinery Co., Ltd. was established.
1967 : The company commercialized specialized hinges (hinge LSH).
1981 : The company commercialized hinges for multifunction printers.
1988 : Taiwan Katoh Corporation was established.
1994 : KEM Hong Kong Limited was established.
2002 : Shanghai KEM Co., Ltd. was established.
2006 : KEM Shenzhen Company Limited was established.
2007 : KATOH Service (Beijing) Co., Ltd. was established.
2014 : Tetsuya Kato was appointed president.
2020 : KEM (Thailand) Co., Ltd. was established.
