Tent membrane structure at Bangkok Futsal Stadium: Construction example that realizes a lightweight, comfortable and large space Samut Prakan, Thailand
Technology / product information
Tent membrane structure realized at Bangkok Futsal Stadium. It is lightweight yet highly safe, and maximizes natural light to provide a bright and comfortable space.
Construction example: Bangkok Futsal Stadium (2014)
The Bangkok Futsal Stadium tent membrane structure by Tomas Engineering was completed in 2014 and showed new possibilities for providing a large, lightweight, safe and comfortable space. This project redefines the concept of sports facilities and maximizes the benefits offered by membrane structures.
Features
Lightweight and safe construction: The membrane structure is significantly lighter than traditional building materials, yet provides strength and durability.
Bright and comfortable space: The design allows for abundant natural light to maintain a bright space without relying on lighting during the day. At the same time, it provides comfortable shade by blocking sunlight.
Multi-purpose use: In addition to its function as a sports facility, it can also be used as an event space. Flexible design accommodates a variety of applications.
Application example
The success of Bangkok Futsal Stadium demonstrates the potential application of tent membrane structures in a variety of public facilities, such as transportation nodes such as train stations, airports, and ports, as well as rest areas in parks. This technology also shows its value in permanent buildings, opening up new architectural design horizons.
This construction example expands the possibilities of tent membrane structures and presents a new standard for future architecture. Tomas Engineering will continue to work on further projects that utilize this technology, contributing to the creation of comfortable and sustainable spaces.
