Extrusion molding is a processing technology where thermoplastic resin is heated and melted, then continuously fed into a mold by a screw to form products with a predetermined cross-sectional shape. This molding method is optimal for mass production of long products like pipes, tubes, sheets, and profiles.

Akebono Kasei Vietnam achieves high-precision and stable molding quality by meticulously setting optimal molding conditions (temperature, screw design, compression ratio, etc.) according to the material. Furthermore, we have built integrated production lines including post-processes like cooling, haul-off, and cutting, enabling us to handle complex cross-sectional shapes, multi-layer structures, and different colors.

- Compatible with two-color molding: Achieves both design and functionality by simultaneously molding different materials or different colors.

- Mold manufacturing: Molds specialized for extrusion molding require unique manufacturer design. Leveraging years of know-how, Akebono Kasei handles mold design and manufacturing in-house integrally, achieving short lead times and high reproducibility.
- Compatible with complex profile extrusion: Stable molding of precise profile cross-sections through unique mold design.
Specifications
- Compatible Resins: Generally all thermoplastic resins including PVC (rigid/flexible), PE (LDPE/HDPE), PP, ABS, TPE, PA6, PC, POM, etc.
- Extrusion Line Specifications: 20 units of φ40–70. Sheet molding compatible up to max. width 1350mm, thickness 0.1–5.0mm.
- Structure Compatibility: Single layer, 2-layer, 3-layer, multi-color (two-color, three-color) molding.
- Molding Methods: T-die sheet extrusion, profile extrusion molding, tube extrusion, co-extrusion (two-layer, multi-layer), pipe molding.
- Other molding performed: Injection molding, inflation molding, PVC compound, recycled pellets.
