History
■ 1894: Isaburo Ogura pioneered manufacturing gemstones for torpedo aiming devices, establishing the company and the first use of domestically produced industrial gemstones. |
■ 1947-1952: Developed sapphire and diamond needles for records, began consumer production, and increased capital to ¥10M. |
■ 1960-1967: Patented bonded diamond needles across five countries; developed vitrified bond diamond tools and artificial diamond needle manufacturing methods. |
■ 1970-1979: Innovated in textile spinners, PM diamond needles, and tools for audio, video, and semiconductor production; introduced products like "Ernest Boy." |
■ 1980-1985: Developed products for video discs, liquid chromatography, and medical equipment, such as sapphire laser rods and optical connectors. |
■ 1986-1994: Expanded into ultra-precision cutting tools, advanced bonding technology, and celebrated 100 years of operations. |
■ 1999-2006: Established global offices in Thailand and China, obtained ISO certifications, and innovated in high-precision tools and dies. |
■ 2010-2013: Consolidated operations, updated certifications, and standardized the fiscal year-end. |
