We house more than 1200 sets of dies (60% are supplied by customers and 40% are made by our companies in Japan and Thailand). Since customers may not supply drawings together with the dies, we have in-house capabilities to reproduce the drawings. Currently, our Japanese designers are stationed in Thailand to design the dies. There are more than 80 Thai technicians in our Die Department.
Our company is well-equipped with machines and tools necessary for die-making. After introducing a vacuum heat treatment furnace for dies this year, we are now capable of making the entire die completely within our company premises. Therefore, we are are able to efficiently respond to our customers’ needs such as prototyping, short lead-time, low cost, among other things. We also subcontract our die-making to local Thai suppliers so as to provide dies at the appropriate cost that commensurate with the die quality.
