An overload protection device protects the machine by instantly disconnecting the input and output in the event of an overload. Overload is reliably detected, and when the drive key is removed from the groove, the input and output are separated, and when the overload is removed, they are automatically connected again with the same torque and the same index position. The torque is set using an internally built-in torque spring, so there is no need for troublesome work such as fine adjustments. It also serves as a flexible coupling, and can be used in both two-axis butting and wrapping methods. Furthermore, since power is transmitted through a drive key, there is no problem using it in oil.
